How To Detail Your Motorcycle

When it comes to keeping your bike looking clean, it really depends on the preference of the driver how often the bike gets detailed.

Some clean it daily, especially the passionate ones, others clean it from time to time, and for a few, their bike is just dirty, and they laugh at the thought of doing such thing.

There are a few important steps you should take if you want your bike nice and tidy.

First thing first, before doing anything make sure that the motor has cooled off. It must stay untouched for at least an hour or more after riding. So the motor has time to cool, and you will remain unharmed.

First clean off the mud with spray hose, and then get to the deep cleaning. Some people use only water and sponge, others use dishwasher fluid, and some buy expensive cleaners and polishers. The type of soap you choose is up to you, but for a shiny and squeaky clean ride, it is recommended to use only the appropriate products.

After you have finished removing the exterior dirt, use a brush to remove any dirtiness from the tires, and if you are up to details, use it everywhere. It is very important to remove any kind of dirtiness from the main parts of the bike, because of course no one likes a visibly dirty motorcycle.

The oil stains may be removed with degreaser, and be sure to clean the chain from oil and debris, as well as straighten it up.

Spray cleaner on all engine and drivetrain components. Be sure to let it penetrate for about one minute. Brush the greasy areas with a boar-bristle brush. Rinse off the cleaner. Blow dry. Repeat if necessary.

Apply polish to a cotton rag and polish the chrome until the haze almost disappears. Wipe off any remaining haze with a clean section of the rag.

Take care of the leather. It is also important not to forget the seat, because the less you take care of it, the older your bike looks, and it could potentially tear apart.

And last step is to polish the dashboard, shine the glass, and voila. Your motorcycle looks as if you just drove it right off the lot :)

How To Pick The Right Boat

Perhaps owning a boat has always been a dream of yours, and now you are finally ready to buy one.  If you live next to a lake, you may want to take your friends and family out to enjoy a lazy afternoon on your pontoon.

Maybe you are an avid fisherman, and you want a lean, mean boat that you can transport easily to fishing trips around the country.  Perhaps you live near the ocean, and you want to ride the waves on your motor boat or take your friends water skiing

Before making a decision on which boat to buy, here are a few important factors to consider when choosing your vessel.

When deciding which boats you can afford, it is important to consider more than just the sticker price.  Boats consume a lot of fuel, and you might even spend as much as half of the sticker price for the boat on maintenance. There really is no such thing as a low maintenance boat, and all boats that use fuel consume a very large amount; much more fuel than cars use.
The next factor to consider is the purpose for which you plan to use your boat, because there is no such thing as an all-purpose boat.  Do you plan to use the boat for saltwater fishing or freshwater fishing?
Do you plan to use it for water sports like water skiingwake boarding, and knee boarding?

Do you plan on sailing?  Will you stay on your boat overnight?  Each of these purposes requires a different type of boat, with very little overlap.  You will also need to decide how far away from the shore or dock you plan to take your boat; the greater the distance from the shore, the larger the boat you will need.

With all kinds of boats, but especially with sailboats, it is important to learn about boating safety before you set sail.

You will also need to think about how many people will ride on your boat.  If your boat is less than 28 feet long, only a certain number of people, including you, can legally ride on the boat at one time.  With larger boats, there are fewer restrictions about the number of passengers, but there are other regulations you must follow.

When choosing the size of your boat, you will also have to figure out how to transport it.  Some boats are small enough that cars can tow them, but larger boats must be towed by trucks.
While the many different factors that come into play when choosing a boat may be a little bit stressful, it is important to know what you want before you step foot in the lot. This will cause for a lot less heart ache(wallet ache) and stress in the long run. My hope is that this article will help provide you with the tools you need to get your hobby started!

 Happy Sailing :)

How To Choose The Motorcycle That Is Best For You

Motorcycles are a great option for getting around and saving on gas. However, you need to take different factors into consideration before buying a new motorcycle, especially when deciding whether it is the right one for you.

Things to think about include your level of riding experience, where you plan on riding your new motorcycle, the style of the body of the ride, the kinds of trips you will take, how frequently you will ride, the size of the engine, your own size, whether you would like the motorcycle to be new or used, and who you want to ride with. That might seem like a ton of worries, but you only need to take each criterion step by step.

The first thing to consider is how much riding experience you have; less experience might demand a smoother type.

Think about where you plan on riding your new motorcycle. Decide whether you wish take it onto the open road, or on local streets (maybe you want a quieter engine?) and what kind of terrain it ought to be prepared for.

You might want to speak to someone who has owned multiple bikes before dealing with the style of the motorcycle body; cruisers, sport bikes, touring, standard, dual purpose, and dirt bikes. The next concern might be about the kinds of trips you intend to take with your new hot ride. Do you want to cruise on the highway for hours to the next state, go to a local saloon, or take a ride off to the sunset?

Different motorcycles are designed to deal with different travel experiences and they are equipped with different gas tank mileages for a reason. Determine how frequently you will use the motorcycle; occasional trips or daily transportation.

Now, you can decide on whether the new motorcycle will fit you and provide a comfortable ride for your body.

Deciding whether your motorcycle is new or used depends more on if you have the finances and means to pay for a new ride or used one. With that, consider who you will be riding with; perhaps you want to buy the same type as a close friend or impress someone with your skills.

What this will mean is different for everybody, but you have to focus on what is right for you, not anyone else. If you think you will have a riding companion, buy a motorcycle with an extra seat. Other preferences include color and company, as well as additional accessories and how you want to pay for your new ride.

Choosing a new motorcycle goes deeper than Yamaha or Kawasaki; you have to know that it is the right fit for you.

RV or Trailer - Which One Is Right For You?

When it comes time to choose between an RV or a trailer, there are plenty of different factors to consider. What makes an RV or trailer great for some might make this option less than an idea for others. Both are a significant investment; one that you should not jump into unless you are certain you are picking the correct recreational vehicle for you. Here are the factors you should consider:

1.      How many people will accompany you on trips? You and one other person might be happy and cozy in a trailer. You and your family of six might find that you can all find somewhere to sleep in a trailer, but there likely won’t be anywhere to store anything. An RV, on the other hand, would have more space for people and their stuff, if you’re planning on traveling with a lot of people, but it might be way more space than a couple needs.

2.      How often are you going to use it? If you want something that you can take on the occasional trip, a trailer is usually the right fit. They are less expensive, and you can find very reasonably priced models that will make the few weekends a year you get to use them well worth the price. If you’re going to be using it every weekend or for the entire summer, an RV, with more room for longer trips, is likely a better choice. The more use you’ll get out of it could justify the higher price.

3.      Do you have a vehicle that can tow a trailer? If you have to buy a truck, in addition to buying a trailer, you might be better off just getting an RV. At the very least, compare the cost of purchasing an SUV or truck to the price of just purchasing an RV. However, if you already have a vehicle that can pull that trailer and you’re looking for a lower-priced option, a trailer would be more suitable.

4.      Which amenities do you want? RVs will almost always have more amenities than trailers. Some nicer models will have high-class and almost spacious kitchens and bathrooms. Few trailers can say the same thing. RVs have the benefit of being self-contained; if you ever need to go to the bathroom on the road, you just pull over. That doesn’t mean that a trailer lacks amenities, it just means that an RV has more.

So, which do you think best suits you or your family? Does an RV or a trailer better suit your needs?

The Alfa Romero 4C & Spider

Alfa Romeo 4C
The Alfa Romeo 4C is an absolute marvel – it is already one of the best new cars of 2015 and as good a car you’re likely to get for a base price of $55,000.  It comes with a carbon-fiber body, a turbocharged four-cylinder, a dual-clutch gearbox and a mid-engine layout.

It is a part of the completely revamped Alfa lineup, which is expected to hit the American market in the coming years. The Alfa Romeo 4C directly competes with other high value models such as Jaguar F-Type, Porsche Cayman, Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG and Chevy Corvette and.

Alfa Romeo 4C first shot to fame as a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2011. Alfa has been quite successful at converting what had been just a fantastic idea into a practical, fully functional model.

The 4C has a very sexy look to it, with its sleek, low-slung shape. It takes inspiration from the popular sports cars of the 1960’s. Its design is marked by curves, scoops, eye-shaped side glasses, round LED tail-lamps, and Alfa's own, special beaky overbite.

Its interiors consist of a cabin with red details, a completely flat bottomed steering wheel, and fully exposed carbon fiber surfaces. Its gauges have a 7-inch LCD display that changes colors as per the driving mode.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a direct-injected and turbocharged 1.7-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is rated at 237 horsepower and comes with 258 pound-feet of torque.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is available as a convertible, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and the Alfa Romeo 4C Coupe. Both models look highly attractive and are already quite popular, we focus on the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider next.

The Bottom Line
We like the Alfa Romeo 4C for the inspired design, dazzling looks and a strong Powertrain. The manual steering is perfect as well and the price is very reasonable. If there is one thing we didn’t like so much, it is that the 4C sounds better outside than inside.

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider
It’s not always that convertibles are more attractive than the original cars that they are based on, but the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is really quite stunning. Ditching the roof actually makes it stand out in the crowd, giving it a sporty look.

The Alfa Romeo 4c Spider is very much a statement of intent by the company, a work of automotive art of the highest quality. The styling of the 4C Spider may be compared to that of a Ferrari, complete with a carbon tub construction and ultra-modern interiors. What’s truly astonishing is the price – which is very reasonable considering what a game changer this car is, and how great it looks.

Why pick the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider over the Alfa Romeo 4C? Well, for one, when you drive a sports car, you want to truly feel it, hear the noises made by it. Removing the roof would allow the barking noises made by the car into the cabin, which is a great feeling when you’re driving on the highway at a top speed.

The main competition for the 4C Spider comes from the Porsche Boxster, which is perhaps the leader in this category. The Audi TT S Roadster is also a formidable rival, although one would argue that the 4C Spider has a sexier design. Also worth looking at is the Mazda MX-5, which is a great car as well.

The Bottom Line

There is much to like about the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider – the sexy design, the stiff carbon chassis and the fact that it adds very little extra weight and offers an awesome convertible experience. What some may not like is the roof design, or the heavy steering. You may not appreciate the noise and the wind intrusion as well – in which case you’d be better off buying the original Alfa Romeo 4C coupe.

5 Tips On Choosing The Right RV

If you’re thinking about purchasing an RV, you’re probably wondering how to go about making your decision so that you find the best one that fits your needs. After all, there are so many different choices out there that it can be overwhelming when you first start to look. Obviously, there are different RVs to fit your needs and it’s impossible for us to tell you which one you should get, but we can provide you with some tips on how to narrow down your choices and purchase one that you’ll love to go camping or cross-country in.

1. Define Your Goals

By defining your RV goals, you’ll be able to narrow down your choices. Is it just for vacations and weekend trips or do you plan on going across the country for weeks or months at a time. By figuring out what you want from your RV, you can settle on the right one for you. If it’s just for small trips, you might not need a huge one, but if you’re looking to be a full-time RV traveler, then you might want the amenities that the larger RVs offer.

2. Familiarize Yourself With All RV Types

There are many types of RVs to choose from, so you should get familiar with each type so that you can figure out which one best fits your needs and RV goals. There are Class A through Class C Motor Homes, Fifth Wheel, Folding Trailer, Travel Trailer and Truck Campers, and knowing what each ones offer and provide is key to choosing the right RV.

3. List Amenities You Want

Once you become familiar with the RV types, it is now time to figure out which amenities you’d like your RV to have. It is recommended that you create a list of “must have” amenities and “optional” so that you can find one based on your l
ifestyle. Remember that more amenities usually translates into a higher price tag!

4. Budget

Price should always be a factor when you’re scoping out RVs so create a budget and follow it. You have to know what you can afford even before you go on an RV lot so that you’re not tempted by RVs that are way out of your price range. This should also include insurance rates since that’s going to be part of the financial costs.

5.  Buy Used

If you want a nicer RV, but can’t afford a new model, look into buying a used model for half the price. But make sure that you give it a thorough inspection before you actually buy it.

The 2018 Bugatti Chiron

The Bugatti Veyron was by far one of the most interesting cars that were released in the past few years, but since it is now officially sold out, people need to try and find a good replacement in this regard. A good idea of doing that comes in the form of 2018 Bugatti Chiron, the latest car from the reputable manufacturer. We had the opportunity to check one out, despite the final version coming in 2016; here is our 2018 Bugatti Chiron review!

Design

The shape is similar to the early model and the mid-engine design is there to stay, which is a major plus in this regard. You still get the Bugatti grille which is now a trademark of the manufacturer, but at the same time you also receive a better set of aerodynamics that will add up to a faster total speed.

Interior

The Veyron did have a few issues with the off-centered position of the driver, but now the new model gets it fixed. Another good improvement comes in the form of the gauge cluster that gets a little further from the tachometer. Moreover, the manufacturers thought about the ergonomics inside the car as well, with the switch gear being re-positioned for this exact same purpose.

Engine and Drive Train

The engine seems to be most likely the same from the previous model, with a few changes. The boost pressure will be increased and the engine will receive direct fuel injection. Based on these specs it seems that the car will get no less than 1500 horsepower, and even the torque will get increased to around 1100 pound-feet. 62mph will come at around 2.5 seconds (some sources say that it will do that in less than 2 seconds), not to mention that the top speed is said to be 288 mph!

Performance

Considering the extraordinary engine and drive train, one can only imagine that this is a great improvement when compared to the Veyron. The car drives a lot easier, and the interior modifications are indeed a great change of pace. The car is a lot easier to drive and it provides a more pleasant experience. It stops very fast, and the control for the overall speed is very quick and responsive. The 2018 Bugatti Chiron manages to seamlessly combine the astounding looks with the ultimate performance, offering you an extraordinary driving experience that you have never had before.

Pricing and availability

Neither of these is confirmed, other than a vague 2016 release date. We can expect this to come sometime in the summer 2016, but when it comes to the pricing, if the Veyron model is any indication, you will need to pay around $2.5 million or around 2 million euros… or maybe even more than that, it all comes down to the manufacturer.
Is it worth it?

2018 Bugatti Chiron is a very good car and one that manages to provide the ultimate performance on the road. It looks great, drives amazingly well and is the best sports car that an enthusiast can have. Sure, it does come with a hefty pricetag, but in the end it’s clear that it’s worth each and every penny!

How to Donate Your Vehicle to Charity

When it comes to helping your community, making donations to charities is certainly a worthwhile and time-honored tradition. One of the most interesting ways you can help out charities is by donating your vehicle. If you have an older vehicle that is no longer useful to you and can be donated, the result will not only help out the charity, but you can also use the transaction as a tax deduction.
However, there are some speed bumps throughout the donation process, so you will want to be fully informed about what to expect before you donate your vehicle.

The Donation Process

Charities will either put the vehicle you donate to use or sell it to raise money. Be aware that if they sell the vehicle, then your tax deduction will be based on how much the vehicle goes for at the auction which may be far lower than its fair market value.
Value: If the vehicle you donate is worth more than $500, then you’ll need to fill out IRS Form 8283 Section A. This must be filled out with a written acknowledgement from the charity itself that stipulates whether the car was sold and for what price or if it is being used by the charity itself. If the value is $5,000 or more, you’ll need to have it appraised and you’ll need to fill out Section B of IRS form 8283.
Receipt: You will need to get an official receipt from the charity in order to verify your tax donation. This is important because this type of donation is one that often triggers an IRS audit, so you’ll want your tax records at the ready.
Remember that if the charity handles the entire transaction, you can drive the vehicle there yourself so that they do not have to pay towing charges.

How to Find the Right Charity

You should always check out charities that accept car donations and if it is eligible to accept tax deductible contributions as well. At that point, you can then do a little more research to see if they are the right ones for you.

Transaction: If the charity handles the transaction of the sale itself, then it should keep virtually 100% of the sale. However, if there is an intermediary organization, then they can keep upwards of 50% or more which means that your donation may only be a fraction of the full market value of the vehicle itself.

Percentage of Proceeds: Arguably the most important question is how much of the proceeds from the sale or auction actually goes to the cause they are supporting. It should be a relatively high percentage otherwise most of the money will simply sink into the coffers of the charity itself.

Reputation: You should check out all charities to see if they follow all the rules and have earned a good reputation in terms of applying most, if not mostly all the money raised to their particular cause.

To find the best charity not only protects you, but it also ensures that the most amount of money raised by the auction or sale goes to the cause you wish to support.

The Right Choice - Buying an RV vs. Renting

So you have planned a family trip to be close to nature! An RV is a best option to travel together as a family and enjoy the natural surroundings. But before opting to get an RV you should speculate if renting an RV is a better decision or if buying one is a good option for the long run.

When buying an RV is the right choice

From family bonding to affordable vacations on road trips, the reasons to buy a RV are endless. Before purchasing an RV you should think of many criteria the main ones being your budget, how often you will be using the RV and how many people will be staying in it and if you can afford to pay the tax of the space taken by the vehicle. There are loads of easy money paying finance options available to purchase for qualified buyers. Another benefit of buying it is that you may qualify for a tax deduction because the interest on a RV loan is usually deductible as second-home mortgage interest. So before buying you can ask your financial advisor to check if you will qualify for this kind of deduction. If you have a family of four members, then you have lots of RV models available in the market to choose from which allow 59% savings on vacation cost over other popular forms of travel.

When renting an RV is the only choice your have

There is no better way to have the experience of an RV than by renting one before you make your decision to buy. Many RV rental companies have special offers you can take advantage of. In some housing packages you get dishes, pots, pans, bed linens, etc in a minimal fee. Renting an RV is a good option for people who like to use it only for occasional camping purpose only. When you calculate the cost of buying an RV including the insurance, maintenance and storage fees; renting a RV once or twice a year will prove to be the more affordable option.

Our advice to you

If you are frequent traveler on a budget then you should buy a pre owned RV for your usage as it has lots of benefits too. The top most benefit is the cost; you can get a well maintained RV for an affordable price! You will get the vehicle with all the good and bad reviews and also if you want to add a cool feature to this old model you can add it with ease in a cheaper price, in comparison to adding a feature to new model at a higher price!
