The Highly Anticipated & Affordable Tesla Model 3

     It may be a little longer before the release of the Tesla Model 3, but still this affordable Tesla Model is rumored to enter the market in 2018. The Tesla spokespeople demand every speculation about the rumored delay, so it may be only a matter of semantics. This seems to be a promising vehicle and it could be a breakthrough in the electric vehicle market. The model is affordable, it costs only $35000 and has estimated range of 200 miles that is plenty for the majority trips.

     Tesla has still not released any designs or images of the third generation affordable cars. The style now is pure guesswork. Not even the name of the car is known. It is only known that the model 3 will be quite different, in addition to being a much smaller version than the first Model S. The new model will be 20 percent smaller than the Model S, while still presenting a sleek body type.

     There is even less current information available about the performance than the design, but it’s assumed that the car, like the two models before it, will exert quick bursts of acceleration. The signature of Tesla automobile is the high power delivery. The driving range will be again 200 miles. 

     The US has made a big charging network across the country for Tesla models. The goal is to make road trips easier to have. The Tesla Model 3 battery will be likely charged to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. This will open  many more possibilities for the electric drivers. Facts say that a regional travel in a 200 mile small affordable Tesla car charged from home will be void of even the slightest tinge of range anxiety. The 240 volt Tesla “wall connector” home charging station costs $750, not including installation.

     The Model S has trunk space in the front and also in the back of the vehicle, and although the vehicle will be smaller, it will still fit 5 passengers comfortably.

Model Tesla 3 was tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and it was awarded the 5 star safety rating.

     The gas-powered cars most often cited as Model 3 competitors are the highly regarded BMW 3-series, which has a starting MSRP of about $33,000, and a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, with its base MSRP of $38,400. While Tesla is interested in matching the Bimmer and Benz for performance, handling and comfort, those cars are internal combustion—and therefore are not really in the same category.

     As of March 2015, the Tesla Model X is basically sold out. New orders submitted in spring 2015 will be fulfilled in “early 2016.” So, considering the lower price point, the number of hand-raisers for the Model 3 could create a long backlog—a nice problem for Tesla to have.

What a Car Made by Apple Could Mean to the Auto World

Apple products are all about the joy of engineering.  Since that day in the early 80s when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak set up a phone line that allowed them to make a free phone call to the Vatican, the makers and discoverers and inventors at Apple have been creating usable products that have changed the way the modern world thinks & works.  It is in large part because of Apple that handheld devices can store as much music as a bookshelf full of CDs and can help you find the address and phone number of any place you want to go, no matter where you are.

Think of how the iPhone changed phones, and now imagine how a car made by Apple could change the auto world.  No one loved phones before the iPhone debuted, but people definitely loved their cars.  Cars represent the freedom of the open road, and getting a driver’s license and borrowing your parents’ car for the first time was an important rite of passage for generations of Americans.  Perhaps you enjoy checking and refilling your car’s fluids before a road trip, and you might even know someone who has lovingly restored an old car.  There is probably a make of car that you encourage people to buy, and perhaps an expensive car of your dreams that you will buy if you can ever afford it.

A car designed by Apple will certainly be efficient and elegant.  Its computer system will run smoothly and have few to no glitches.  Although it will be high-tech, it will not rely on gimmicks; it will build on the touch-screen and voice-activated technology that have made other Apple products so successful.  If it is an electric car, it will be the most affordable one yet.

Another trend in Apple’s history is reviving ideas that seemed like lost causes and bringing things back from the brink.  Cars do not occupy the esteemed place in American culture that they once did.  They have gained the reputation as gas guzzlers that pollute the air, deplete the ozone layer, and consume petroleum, a non-renewable resource.  Apple’s engineers are experts at figuring out what are the enduring parts of struggling industries; they do not follow new trends.  A car made by Apple would retain the feature of efficient travel, but it would be easier to drive and park than existing cars.  Its focus would be on simple elegance and efficiency.

THE TESLA MODEL X

The Tesla Model X will be introduced as a prototype crossover. It is the third electric model to be released by Tesla after the Model S sedan and the 2 door Roadsters. The Model X will accommodate up to seven passengers and promises to be more family friendly and functional than the Model S. The soon to be revealed crossover has recently undergone test runs in the streets of LA. MODEL X FEATURES:

The Tesla Model X is more likely a Model S that has been extended vertically. Its headlights, grille, general contours and taillights are identical to the sedans’, with a central weight that is lower than the average SUV, you will notice its’ beautiful reflexes at every turn. It is even loaded with all their gears.  However, the Model X offers key differences such as forward facing third row seats and a set of rear falcon wing doors which make the car appear even more radical. AN ELECTRIC CROSSOVER:

As similar as the Model X is to the S, the Model X is more than skin deep. The Model X may be furnished with crossover fundamental all wheel drive. Its standard drive structure mirrors that of S, but with an additional front mounted motor power axle on the all-wheel drive models, with rear mounted and single electric motor driving the rear wheels. With the all-wheel drive system, the X Model can catch traction and difference between the two axles and power apportions. Same as the Model S, Model X is giving sporty performance. Not to mention it’s able to  hit 60 mile per hour in less than five seconds.

Model X buyers now will be able to select between two battery capacities. One is of 85-k WH unit and the other is of 60k WH pack. It is the safer and secure car to drive and less aerodynamic than the Model S.

PRICE OF TESLA MODEL X:

The price of Model X has not yet been officially announced. The Tesla chief executive officer recently stated in his interview that the company is planning to put the Model X on sale in July. More than 20,000 people have invested a $5000 deposit for this new car.
